We have arranged a non-uniform day on Friday 18 March in aid of two good causes. Firstly, this is timed to support the national charity Comic Relief on Red Nose Day, traditionally at this time of year. Secondly, we will split donations to support The International Red Cross, particularly needed to support the refugee crisis resulting from the war in Ukraine. Students and staff are invited to pay the minimum of £1.00, more if possible, since it will be supporting both charities this year. Students may wear non-uniform clothes, preferably with a red, blue or yellow theme if they wish to show support for either cause. Contributions will be collected at morning registration and will all go directly towards the charities concerned. Students are welcome to wear a red nose as well if they so wish, although red noses will not be on sale in school.
This is how staff and students celebrated World Book Day today on their 25th birthday with an amazing amount of students taking part.
There will be lots going on, so please join in the fun!

Year 7 form competition for most impressive achievement and behaviour in Term 3 goes to 7SI. Form tutor Miss Irinoye said "7SI have had a fantastic term; every week they give their all during lessons displaying the Borden values in all they do, and I have been so impressed. I hope you all have a well deserved break during the half term period and I look forward to welcoming you back as reigning champs for Term 4! (Dare I say 2 for 2)".
Each year in the UK, Safer Internet Day explores a new area or theme that is important to the young people we work with every day.
Please support this very good cause on Friday 11 February. There will also be a tuck shop available on Wednesday and Friday next week at break and lunchtime.
