Careers Education (CEIAG – Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) at Borden Grammar School is delivered in a variety of ways both throughout and alongside the curriculum, this includes:

  • Personal Development lessons focussed on Careers (outlined in our PD Curriculum Map
  • 1 to 1 meetings with a Careers Advisor
  • Work Experience (Year 10)
  • Work Shadowing (Year 12)
  • Visits from outside speakers focussed on Apprenticeships, T Levels, Universities and Employment
  • Our annual Careers and University Fair
  • Termly form time sessions dedicated to Careers for all year groups
  • Whole School access to Unifrog
  • Careers Padlet for Students (below)
  • Careers Padlet for Parents and Carers (below)
  • Careers section in the Library
  • Careers displays throughout the school
  • Results day support for GCSE and A Level students

As mentioned above, to support our Careers Provision all students in Years 7-13 have access to Unifrog, an online platform that provides up-to-date, impartial information to help students find their future.

Parents and Carers will have access from September 2025 (details to follow from Mrs Cameron).

The Head of Careers for Years 7-11 is Mrs Cameron, who can be contacted on the usual school number or by email kcameron@bordengrammar.kent.sch.uk

Mr Brinn, Assistant Headteacher (Key Stage 5) leads the Careers provision for the 6th form. He can be contacted on the usual school number or by email cbrinn@bordengrammar.kent.sch.uk
