We are immensely proud!

Careers and University Fair
Published 24/09/24Tuesday 17th September saw our brand new sports hall transformed into our first Careers and University Fair here at Borden Grammar School, when we welcomed over 40 representatives from local, national and international companies and Universities to meet with our Year 9-13 students and their families.
It was tremendous to see so many students engaged in such valuable, meaningful conversations with an interesting array of professionals, many of whom were former students of ours and all of whom had given up their time to speak to our students about their career pathways including the varied routes into employment from school.
All of our visitors were hugely complimentary about the enthusiasm of the students, parents and carers they spoke to; one of the university representatives in attendance remarked how ambitious and ‘switched on’ our students were and many of the employers commented on the insightful questions they were asked.
Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive (which we will be formally collating soon) and we are already making even more ambitious plans for next year!
With this in mind if you or the company you work for could offer us any support with future careers events, then please do get in touch with Mrs Mahoney who would be delighted to hear from you (kmahoney@bordengrammar.kent.sch.uk) - Read More
