GCSE Results 2026
We have had another year of excellent results for our year 11 students at Borden Grammar School. An impressive 36% of our year 11 students achieved five or more of their grades in the very highest band (7-9) with 26% achieving the 7 or more of these highest grades in their GCSEs (7-9).
Grade 9 is achieved by less than 2% of students nationally and this year, 5 students achieved an unbelievable 8 GCSE grade 9s, with one student incredibly achieving all 11 GCSE grades at grade 9.
Overall, the impressive 36% of grades at the very highest grades (7-9) were accompanied by 96% of students receiving at least five or more strong passes. This represents some impressive outcomes from a cohort of students who have displayed immense levels of determination and resilience in their journey at Borden. We must remember that these students will have been impacted significantly by the pandemic in their academic journey but have had no allowances made in their exams, unlike many previous cohorts. We are therefore extremely proud of the success of our students and look forward to seeing most of these successful students return to us in year 12, wishing the very best to those that are moving on to pursue their journey elsewhere.
