We are proud to report...

... that Year 8 student Matthew Harwood will be the Kent representative in the English National Under 18’s tournament for Short Mat Bowls this weekend. After a successful season where he has represented the county in both the B team and played a couple of games for the Premier team in the National competition, he has managed to qualify for both the National Under 18 singles competition, as well as the National Fours competition which he will compete in during the Easter break. We wish him all the very best!

Stonewall visit

The organisation Stonewall visited Borden Grammar School recently as part of their School Role Model programme, which involves volunteers from different backgrounds, with different jobs and life experiences visiting schools to tell their story about growing up as a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender person.

Nearly three hundred students were able to hear from Tom Brown, a Barrister from London who shared his experience of growing up as a gay young man.

The visit was organised by Head of Personal Development, Mrs K Mahoney.
